The third edition of the Seychelles Nature Trail (SNT), scheduled for 16 May 2026 on the island of Mahé, has already attracted 100 registered runners following its announcement at a press conference at Botanical House. The 22-kilometre course features 1,210 metres of elevation gain, taking participants from Port Glaud through Cap Ternay, Anse Major, Mare aux Cochons, Cassedent, and Tomassin before finishing at Grand Anse, traversing coastal, forest, and mountainous terrain. Elite competitors confirmed for this edition include French trail runner Sylvaine Cussot and defending men's champion Waqar Ahmad Nasir of Pakistan, with Seychellois runner Jonathan Quatre - who finished third in the previous edition - expected among the leading local contenders.

Tourism Seychelles Special Advisor Bernadette Willemin described the event as a powerful showcase of the islands' granitic landscapes and a key driver in positioning Seychelles as a leading nature and sports tourism destination. Organised by Tourism Seychelles in collaboration with ILOP Réunion, the event is supported by a broad network of partners including the Seychelles Parks and Gardens Authority, the National Sports Council, the Seychelles Defence Forces, and the Ministry of Health. With international participation growing across each edition, the Seychelles Nature Trail has established itself as a flagship sports tourism event that combines athletic challenge with the country's exceptional natural heritage.
