SADC opens third TFCA funding round for green livelihoods and conservation
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) has launched the third open call for the TFCA Financing Facility, offering two funding envelopes co-funded by the EU NaturAfrica Programme and the German Government. The funding targets scalable green economy solutions that deliver sustainable livelihoods and strengthen conservation across SADC Transfrontier Conservation Areas, with applications due 31 March 2026 – 17:00 Standard African Time.
Eligible activities include sustainable added value in agriculture, eco-tourism development, sustainable energy, innovative finance mechanisms, and measures to prevent and mitigate human–wildlife conflict. The call is open to SMEs, cooperatives, social enterprises, NGOs, and public or private sector entities, with submissions via the SADC TFCA Financing Facility’s Grants Portal.
