Meetings Africa 2027 Sets Sights on Global Connections and Commercial Growth

Meetings Africa, South Africa's flagship trade show for business events, will hold its 21st edition in 2027 under the theme "Unlocking Growth That Transforms Africa." The theme positions market access, new business relationships and international trade as central to the continent's business events platform, with the event continuing to serve as a key meeting point between African suppliers and the global meetings industry.

Interest in the 2027 edition is already drawing new international participants, including Liberty International Tourism Group, which will bring buyers from Canada and other markets to engage with African exhibitors. With a network spanning more than 60 destination management offices across over 120 destinations, Liberty's involvement is expected to extend the reach of African suppliers into established international distribution channels. The commercial potential of the platform is well illustrated by Zambia-based Patience Nakawala of Akanachi Travel & Tours, who attended as a visitor in 2023 and by 2025 had expanded her business to organise group travel into South Africa - a tangible example of how participation in Meetings Africa can translate into measurable business growth.
