Marriott enters DRC
Marriott International has made its debut in the Democratic Republic of the Congo with the opening today of Protea Hotel by Marriott Kinshasa and Four Points by Sheraton Kinshasa. Managed by SARV Management, the launches add international brands to the capital and expand capacity for business and leisure travel in a key Central African hub.
Protea Hotel by Marriott Kinshasa offers 88 rooms in an upscale neighbourhood near the Congo River, with an atrium lobby, the city’s first indoor hotel pool, an all‑day restaurant, bar, fitness centre and a 56 m² meeting room. Four Points by Sheraton Kinshasa, in the central business district, has 134 rooms, a rooftop outdoor pool, 24‑hour fitness centre, Lufira Restaurant, 83 Sky Lounge Bar and about 230 m² of meeting space across four rooms. Both hotels participate in the Marriott Bonvoy programme, supporting Kinshasa’s growing appeal to corporate and leisure segments.
