Lesotho and ATB to sign three-year tourism pact

Lesotho’s Ministry of Tourism, Sports, Arts & Culture and the African Tourism Board will sign a three-year memorandum of understanding in Maseru on 24 November 2025 to drive investment, business and tourism development. The accord aims to raise Lesotho’s visibility in regional and global markets, attract tourism investment and strengthen intra-African collaboration, with a focus on sustainable and inclusive growth and youth entrepreneurship.

Planned actions include joint marketing and advisory support, a tourism investment summit, an infrastructure development conference, entrepreneurship programmes and a winter adventure and trade expo at AfriSki to position the Mountain Kingdom as a high-altitude destination. The ceremony will be presided over by ATB Executive Chairman Dr Cuthbert Simphiwe Ncube and Principal Secretary Mrs Mantiti Khabo. The MoU is non-binding but sets a cooperation framework for three years, with formal obligations to be defined in separate agreements.
