Kerten Hospitality enters Morocco
Kerten Hospitality has signed Cloud 7 Dersa Tetuàn with partner Oromecanica Group, marking the operator’s entry into Morocco. The hotel will be created within Tetouan’s historic Dersa building in the Spanish‑era district, preserving the original façade while reimagining interiors as a contemporary, design‑led space. Located near the Martil–Tamuda Bay coastline and close to key cultural sites, the project aims to strengthen the lifestyle segment in northern Morocco.
Planned features include 63 keys with family suites, several F&B outlets – including Kerten’s Joontos – a cigar lounge, lobby café and rooftop bar. Backed by support from the Moroccan Agency for Tourism Development, the signing aligns with sustained sector growth driven by public investment, expanding air connectivity and record arrivals, highlighting continued investor interest in adaptive re‑use and experiential product development in Tetouan.
