Karibu Camps & Lodges - Introducing the Private Villas at Tarangire Elephant Springs

As part of our continued, considered evolution of our circuit, we would like to share an advance look at our new private villas offering at Tarangire Elephant Springs, scheduled to open from 1 March 2026. The Private Villas have been conceived as a deliberately distinct product within our portfolio, designed to sit alongside, rather than within our existing accommodation offering.

Designed for travelers seeking a highly independent style of safari, these villas represent a materially different way of staying at Tarangire Elephant Springs, defined by significantly greater space, heightened privacy, private plunge pools in each villa and a more residential rhythm to the safari experience.

A defining element of the villa experience is exclusive access to the Pavilion; a purpose-built facility reserved solely for villa guests. The Pavilion includes private dining, private chef with live cooking display, lounge areas, a swimming pool and a flexible meeting or breakout space. Together, these elements create a self-contained environment that supports extended stays, varied daily rhythms and multiple ways of using the camp, depending on guest preference.

In parallel, the Pavilion allows us to selectively accommodate small-scale, high-end MICE and executive retreats, including leadership offsites, incentive travel and private strategy sessions. This is intentionally not positioned as a traditional conference or events product. Instead, it offers an alternative for clients seeking a safari setting that remains intimate, discreet and operationally smooth, where space, privacy and context are prioritized over scale.

Taken together, the Private Villas and Pavilion introduce a new layer within the Karibu circuit; one that broadens our appeal to ultra-private travelers, families and private groups, longer-stay guests and select corporate or incentive travel, while remaining aligned with the thoughtful, low-density ethos of our camps and lodges.
