Golden Gate Dinosaur Centre to close 2 – 13 March for maintenance

SANParks has announced a temporary closure of the Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretation Centre in Golden Gate Highlands National Park, Free State, from 2 to 13 March 2026 to carry out essential floor repairs. The facility will be inaccessible during this period, and operators are advised to adjust itineraries accordingly.

Opened on 22 June 2025, the centre has quickly become a key attraction for paleotourism in Southern Africa. SANParks says the planned works are intended to uphold safety and presentation standards, reinforcing proactive facility management to protect the visitor experience.
