Global tourism leaders to meet in Nairobi for resilience summit, 16 – 18 February

World tourism leaders will gather in Nairobi for the 4th Global Tourism Resilience Day, Conference and Expo at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre from 16 – 18 February 2026, coinciding with the United Nations’ Global Tourism Resilience Day on 17 February. The event will convene policymakers, tourism ministers, destination managers, investors and development partners to advance practical resilience measures as destinations face climate risks, geopolitical instability, health emergencies and economic shocks.

Held under the theme “Tourism Resilience in Action: From Crisis Response to Impactful Transformation”, the programme will focus on policy implementation, infrastructure, crisis communication, workforce capacity and financing, alongside the use of data, artificial intelligence and predictive analytics. Highlights include a keynote by Jamaica’s tourism minister Hon. Edmund Bartlett and field visits to resilient tourism sites in Nairobi, with expected outcomes including a Resilience in Action Global Report, progress on resilience indicators and strengthened cross‑sector partnerships.
