This is not an entry-level sales position.
And it’s definitely not for someone who just “loves travel”.
This is a rare opportunity to build tailor-made African journeys for clients who value expertise, depth and exceptional service, all while being part of a small, dynamic, highly experienced team.
About the role
We are a specialist African travel company based in Brisbane and Sydney, designing deeply personal, tailor-made journeys across Africa. Our clients come to us for knowledge, insight and confidence – and that’s exactly what we deliver.
We’re looking for an Africa Sales Specialist with genuine Africa product knowledge and proven sales experience to join our Brisbane or Sydney team .
You’ll work Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, alongside a close-knit team who care deeply about what we do and how we do it.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing and selling bespoke African itineraries (this is consultative selling, not call-centre sales)
- Managing client relationships from enquiry through to booking
- Using your Africa knowledge to recommend the right camps, routes and experiences
- Working closely with suppliers and partners across Africa
- Handling quotes, itineraries and client details with precision (Excel is essential)
What we’re looking for
This role is for someone who already knows Africa and knows how to sell.
You must have:
- Strong Africa destination and product knowledge (essential)
- Minimum 3 years’ sales experience (travel industry essential)
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Solid Excel skills and confidence working with systems
- Positive energy, professionalism and attention to detail
- A team-first mindset – we’re small, fast-moving and collaborative
