Day 1 of Experience Africa: Catch Ups and Connections

As the sun peeked over London yesterday, we kicked off Experience Africa at the Chelsea Football Club, bringing buyers, media and exhibitors together - The Place to Connect.
Welcoming delegates, ATTA® Chair Nick Aslin shared how Experience Africa was “your show”, a reminder that we’re all part of this journey to promote Africa and Experience Africa was the platform to achieve it.
Reconnecting, networking, learning – that's what the show floor was all about. We saw many familiar faces catch up, and new ones become part of our family.
We also shared our own little story of connection at Experience Africa on our Experience Africa social media handles. Follow the budding friendship on four legs between two island nations on Instagram, our handle @ExperienceAfricaEvents.
One of the day's big moments was Holly Budge's tribute to Female Ranger Week. Holly, founder of the How Many Elephants NGO, gave an inspiring talk about "The Rise of Female Rangers in Africa", showcasing the incredible impact these fearless women have on conservation on the African continent. When the evening rolled around, it was time to unwind at the opening reception pitch side.
Day 1 done and dusted with an exciting mix of business and catch-ups, we look to Day 2 where highlights will include a must-watch session with Lin You, MD of Travel World China on 'The Post-Pandemic Chinese Outbound Travel for Africa' and a panel discussion on Destination South Africa, our headline destination for Experience Africa.
South Africa takes centre stage again in the evening as it hosts an exciting braai (BBQ) for delegates pitch side - sure to be a magical evening against Chelsea Football Club’s impressive backdrop.
