ATTA® Supports Kenya’s Ebola Response
Virginia Messina, CEO at the African Travel and Tourism Association (ATTA®) said: “ATTA® has noted with concern that Saudi Arabia has suspended travel by its citizens to Kenya and barred arrivals and visas from Kenya into the Kingdom. This is despite no further cases of Ebola and against WHO guidance not to impose travel restrictions.
“ATTA® supports Kenya’s response to Ebola and believes that Saudi Arabia’s stance is excessive given the current epidemiological situation as there has been no new cases reported in the last 10 days. However, ATTA® urges Kenya to remain vigilant.”
