ATTA® Member Update: Middle East Aviation Disruptions
Aviation disruptions continue across key Middle Eastern hubs, affecting global travel and requiring ongoing operational adjustments. Below is a brief status update to support member planning.
🛫 Key Airport Updates
- UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi): Repatriation efforts continue, with 60 flights launched since 1 March and plans to scale to 80 per day via controlled corridors.
- Qatar (Doha – DOH): Airspace remains closed; Qatar Airways is operating only one limited daily flight, and Hamad International remains under full suspension with support measures for stranded passengers.
🛩 Airline Operations Snapshot
Gulf Carriers
- Emirates: Reduced schedule; repatriation and cargo flights operating for passengers with confirmed bookings only.
- Etihad: Limited commercial service resumed to selected destinations.
- Qatar Airways: Operating limited flights to support affected passengers.
- Oman Air: All Middle East flights suspended through 15 March.

European & North American Carriers
- British Airways: Cancellations across Dubai, Tel Aviv & Bahrain routes; suspensions vary through 3–15 March.

- United Airlines: Tel Aviv and Amman routes suspended; refunds and waivers available for lateMarch travel.
- Virgin Atlantic: Multiple reroutings and cancellations affecting Dubai and Riyadh services.
