ATTA® is joining The Travel Hub Collection, Travalyst and fellow industry partners for an important webinar exploring the new EU sustainability rules and what they mean for the travel industry.

The Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (EmpCo/ECGT) comes into effect from 27 September 2026 and has implications for anyone with a stake in African travel who markets to European travellers, including businesses based outside Europe.

The webinar will provide practical guidance on how the changes may affect travel businesses, suppliers and agents, particularly when making and communicating sustainability claims.

The session will cover what is changing under the new rules; green claims and marketing, including what businesses can and cannot say when promoting sustainability credentials; credible sustainability certification and compliance; considerations for both buyers and suppliers when sharing sustainability information; and practical steps businesses can begin reviewing and implementing now.

Travalyst will provide practical guidance on sustainability certification and navigating compliance, while ATTA® and other industry stakeholders will contribute to the wider discussion on what the changes mean for the travel trade.

Attendees will also receive practical downloadable guides for buyers and suppliers to refer back to after the session.
