African Parks backs BCC 2026 in Nairobi

African Parks is sponsoring and participating in the Business of Conservation Conference (BCC) 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya, taking place 4 – 7 March 2026. Under the theme “Changing the African Conservation Narrative: Everyone’s Business”, the event brings together more than 400 leaders from conservation, finance, government and business to explore strategies that connect nature protection with economic opportunity.

The organisation’s speakers will address operational lessons and community development (Hugues Akpona), leadership pipelines and local capacity (Jean Labuschagne), sustainable finance via nature‑based carbon credit programmes (Matthias De Breenhouwer), and strategic rhino reintroduction through Rhino Rewild (Donovan Jooste), covering habitat restoration, community engagement and monitoring. The agenda underscores approaches with direct relevance to Africa’s tourism economy – from resilient conservation funding and community benefits to biodiversity outcomes that underpin wildlife travel.
