Africa Showcase concludes inaugural Middle East roadshow
Africa Showcase has concluded its inaugural Middle East roadshow, held from 25 to 29 January 2026 in Doha and Dubai. Organised by On Show Solutions, the four-session programme connected more than 150 GCC travel buyers with 26 African tourism exhibitors from 16 countries, introducing its relationship-led model to a strategically important source market.
Discussions pointed to rising demand for diversified itineraries beyond safari, with cultural insight and seamless service delivery cited as key differentiators. Airline partners included Emirates, flydubai, South African Airways (Dubai) and Qatar Airways. With the GCC accounting for about 60% of Middle East outbound travel and around 75% of international tourism spend from the region, organisers plan follow-up market intelligence and relationship-building to support African brands targeting Gulf travellers.
