Adventure Travel Show announces inaugural trade event
In the lead-up to the Adventure Travel Show (ATS) organisers, Living Media Events, have partnered with The Adventure Connection to launch a ground-breaking trade-only networking event entitled: ‘Integrating the SDGs into Travel’ on Friday 10 Jan from 4pm until 8pm at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London (ahead of the consumer show that weekend).
This brand new networking event invites travel industry professionals to consider how the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can be integrated across all areas of tourism.
Attendees will have the chance to share best practice, network with key trade associations, hear from industry leaders during presentations and panel discussions featuring experts like Mark Wright (The Adventure Connection), David Guthrie (ATTA member, A Tent With A View) and Charlie Cotton (eCollective), and collaborate on innovative strategies to address global challenges while driving meaningful change for local communities and destinations.
David Guthrie, co-founder of A Tent With A View (ATWAV) in Tanzania, commented: “We are excited to be involved in this trade event for ATS. With many of the world’s most exciting destinations also being the most vulnerable, the travel industry is uniquely positioned to bring the SDGs to life. Despite the vital push towards net zero (SDG 13 – Climate Action), there are 16 other SDGs that demand equal focus. It’s great to see the Adventure Travel Show promoting the importance of working towards a more sustainable industry.”
