We are situated directly across the river from Mana Pools National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the Zimbabwe side and just minutes from the Lower Zambezi National Park. Continuing the lodge's ongoing sustainability goals, Royal Zambezi Lodge has announced the completion of an ambitious solar project: Royal is now 100% solar! With an impressive 360 solar panels, a 150kva inverter and 2x 100kw batteries, the team have used this time to upskill and work together to achieve this green initiative during the standstill in global travel.
The luggage allowance applicable to travel routes between Lusaka, Lower Zambezi (Royal Airstrip), Livingstone and Mfuwe on RZL flights has increased with immediate effect. The new luggage limit of 15kg's check-in luggage plus 5kg's hand luggage is valid on all flights going forward during all seasons.
Operated by Royal Zambezi Lodge, these flights are open for general consumption between all of the routes as mentioned above.
Royal Zambezi Lodge (RZL) in Zambia's Lower Zambezi has recently joined hands with First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (FQM), Zambia's largest overseas investor, to provide fodder and salt licks for the herbivores in the Country's Lower Zambezi protected areas.
