Borana Conservancy has teamed up with Days for Girls to break the silence through holistic menstrual health education and the distribution of washable and re-usable sanitary towels in Northern Kenya.

The Lewa-Borana Landscape and Loisaba Conservancy have released cross-conservancy COVID protocols. As the world came to a standstill earlier this year nature has taken this time to heal and rejuvenate. The wildlife population on the Lewa-Borana Landscape and Loisaba Conservancy is becoming year on year more extraordinary and more diverse. The Laikipia Ewaso Eco System holds the highest diversity of large mammal species of any site of its size in the world.

2018 was a fantastic year for rhinos between Borana Conservancy and Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.  The Lewa-Borana Landscape is proud to report a total of 18 rhino births in 2018, supported by over five years of zero poaching.  Borana Lodge is the only property on this landscape to commit all retained earnings from tourism to the sustainable conservation of land, wildlife and building local livelihoods in and around Borana Conservancy.
