Kantabile Afrika Ltd

Kantabile Afrika is a boutique, owner-designed and built safari accommodation provider that was born out of a passion project. We opened our camps in 2019.

Cherero Camp is located in the heart of Serengeti National Park, in a secluded area towards the Western Corridor, while Aurari Camp is located in the Mara River region of Northern Serengeti. Cherero is the Swahili word for lovebirds and Aurari connotes a golden aura as its setting provides the perfect environment for retreats. The camps were conceptualized out of regenerative principles and are run by the owners.

With an eco-friendly approach to luxury, our camps are built to the highest standard comprising wood and canvas, with no permanent structures in place, so the tents can be moved entirely without leaving a lasting trace. The spacious tented suites are serviced by solar power systems and solar water heaters, so travellers' comfort would not be compromised. Each oversized tented suite offers a generous living space of 50 square metres, in which guests can find a modern rain shower in a beautifully appointed bathroom as well as a writing desk with a USB charging station. The elegant interior design is complemented by functionality and comfort, as guests have access to a safety box, hair dryer, bathrobes and slippers. The private verandah is the perfect place to watch the African sun that rises upon the horizon, or enjoy a drink as the sun goes down.

Our team at Kantabile Afrika is homegrown, young and dynamic. Every one of the members is handpicked and chosen for what he or she can bring to the team as individuals. We pride ourselves in having awesome, fearless female leaders who steer the team as stewardesses and chefs amidst a predominantly male workforce in the bush. The team shares a camaraderie that is unbeatable as the foundation of their bond is established upon a shared vision for providing guests with an authentic and unforgettable experience that cannot be recreated anywhere else and a tuko pamoja (we are together) culture. Perhaps this is one of the many reasons why guests have repeatedly said that our camps have soul, an inexpressible quality that the guests feel so strongly about, as they habitually leave their hearts at our camps upon farewell.
