Botswana Tourism Organisation
Operating under the Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Botswana Tourism Organisation was established by an Act of Parliament in 2003 to market and position Botswana as a premier tourist destination of choice, promote investment and product diversification in the tourism industry; and ensure all tourism facilities are classified, certified and graded.
Key tourism assets include pristine national parks and game management areas, which are home to a great diversity of wildlife and flora, Wilderness/Wetlands experience, Culture and Heritage, Sports and Adventure and Business Tourism ( Meetings Incentives, Conferencing and Events). Tourism has also been identified out by government as one of the priority areas for investment due to its numerous linkages to various other sectors of the economy.
