ZITF 2026 Generates Over US$600 Million in Business as Demand Breaks Records
The 66th Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF), held from 20 to 25 April at the Zimbabwe International Conference and Exhibition Smart City in Bulawayo, has generated more than US$600 million in business transactions, confirmed orders, and investment leads. Industry and Commerce Minister Mangaliso Ndlovu confirmed the figures, noting that several Memoranda of Understanding were also facilitated in priority sectors including manufacturing and technology, with additional high-value leads expected to convert into firm commitments following due diligence.
The 2026 edition attracted more than 800 exhibitors from over 30 countries - including more than 100 first-time participants - and recorded a 104 percent space utilisation rate, with demand exceeding the 48,655 square metres available for sale. A 2,100-square-metre marquee was erected to accommodate 105 overflow exhibitors. Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company Board Chairperson Dr Busisa Moyo confirmed that at least one major trade agreement was signed on the sidelines of the event, with full details to be announced in due course. Organisers have already confirmed dates for the next edition, scheduled to run from 26 April to 1 May 2027.
