ZimParks lifts Victoria Falls entry fees as VAT takes effect

The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority has increased daily conservation and park entrance fees at Victoria Falls and other key sites with immediate effect, following the introduction of VAT on tourism services. Under the 2026 tariff schedule, international day visitors to the Victoria Falls Rainforest will pay US$58 at the main gate, US$174 at the VIP gate – up from US$150 – and US$116 for moonlight viewing – up from US$100. Conservation fees at parks including Mana Pools, Sapi and Chewore are now US$8 for local visitors, US$18 for SADC tourists and US$24 for international visitors.

Industry response indicates operators will recalibrate packages and pricing, with the Zimbabwe Tour Operators Association advising members to itemise VAT and communicate changes clearly to trade partners. While some source markets are sensitive to price shifts, demand for Victoria Falls remains strong; competitiveness, operators say, hinges on overall experience, accessibility, service standards and destination appeal. ZTOA is engaging with ZimParks to improve consultation and advance notice on pricing changes to support long‑term contracting cycles.
