Zimbabwe's Heritage Village Hosts COMESA Tourism Night
Zimbabwe's Heritage Village hosted regional leaders, policymakers and business executives on 19 October as part of the 25th COMESA Summit, which is running in Harare from 19 to 22 October under the theme "One Market, One Future: Advancing Inclusive Industrialisation, Investment and Regional Integration in COMESA." The Tourism Night, centred on cultural diplomacy, placed Zimbabwe's tourism and hospitality offering in front of a high-level regional audience.
Developed by the Institute of African Knowledge (INSTAK), Heritage Village serves as an Afrocentric hub bridging cultural preservation with corporate and leisure events. INSTAK CEO Ambassador Kwame Muzawazi used the occasion to highlight tourism's role in the broader COMESA integration agenda, noting its economic reach across transport, agriculture, creative industries and job creation. Heritage Village forms part of Zimbabwe's wider Liberation City master plan and its national strategy to position the country as a leading regional tourism destination by 2030.
