Zimbabwe’s Gonarezhou National Park Closes for Maintenance

Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe's second-largest national park, has announced a temporary closure until the end of February 2025. The annual closure allows for essential maintenance of tourism infrastructure and provides camp staff with an opportunity to spend time with their families. Repairs and upgrades will focus on ensuring the park's facilities are in excellent condition for visitors when it reopens.
The closure coincides with the rainy season, a period when access to roads can be challenging, and temperatures are high. During this time, the park’s reservations team remains operational to assist with inquiries and bookings for the upcoming season. Visitors are encouraged to contact the team via email or WhatsApp, as telephone connectivity in the area may be intermittent.
