Zimbabwe Launches Digital Immigration for Visitors

Zimbabwe has introduced a new digital immigration process requiring all non-resident visitors to complete an online arrival form prior to travel. Implemented immediately by the Airports Company of Zimbabwe (ACZ), the initiative marks the end of paper-based arrivals documentation and aims to streamline entry procedures while enhancing national border security systems.

While iPads will be available at immigration desks for those unable to complete the form in advance, officials strongly advise pre-submission to avoid delays. The change applies only to visitors; Zimbabwean residents remain subject to existing procedures. Citizens with e-passports can also use the automated eGate system for faster entry. This digital shift aligns with Zimbabwe’s broader strategy to modernise airport and immigration operations in line with global best practices.
