Women in Conservation Forum added to GCTDF 2026 in Nairobi
The Global Conservation Tech & Drone Forum (GCTDF 2026) has added a Women in Conservation Forum to its programme, to be held in Nairobi on Monday 2 March 2026. Backed by Kenya Wildlife Service and Action Labs, with funding support from The Wildlife Society and Island Foundation, the forum will spotlight women leaders across Kenya and Africa in roles from community conservancy leadership to research and field operations – underlining their importance to inclusive conservation outcomes that support wildlife tourism.
The agenda will feature keynote addresses, mentoring and professional development workshops, and networking sessions. Participation includes partners such as Mara Elephant Project, Connected Conservation Foundation and Leopard Ecology and Conservation, with technology allies including wilddrone.eu and Nature Drones CiC; wider coalition support comes from organisations such as GIZ, WeRobotics and Flying Labs, the Drone Association of Kenya and others. Organisers say the platform aims to build practical coalitions to scale effective, community‑led innovation across the sector.
