Wolwedans Begins a New Chapter with a Refreshed Look and Feel
The Wolwedans Collection has unveiled a refreshed look and feel across Desert Lodge, Dune Camp and Mountain View Suite in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, guided by a simple compass: Of the Earth.
Working closely with the on-site team and local artisans, Wolwedans has brought every detail back into harmony with the surrounding desert. Natural earth tones, raw textures and handcrafted pieces now run through the interiors, guest rituals and dining, alongside refined touches across the brand's visual identity.
At Desert Lodge, the refresh spans the main areas, the 6 Tented Rooms and the 3 Tented Family Rooms, with new furnishings, layered textures and handcrafted details that complement the lodge's setting on a dune plateau. New wooden walkways now connect each room to the main area; all rooms have new King/Twin bed configurations, and Family Rooms have gained two additional single beds for children aged 5 to 14. A new guide tent has been added, alongside Wi-Fi in the main area and all rooms.
Dune Camp, set among the dunes, has been reimagined with rich natural textures, handcrafted furnishings and a warm, earthy palette across its main area, 6 Tented rooms and Family Suite. New wooden walkways connect each room to the main area; all rooms have new King/Twin bed configurations, and new daybeds on each room's deck convert effortlessly into Starbeds, perfect for a night under Africa’s darkest sky. Two new guide tents have been added, alongside Wi-Fi throughout.
Mountain View Suite has also been refreshed as part of this chapter. An exclusive-use suite for two, it offers incredible views and its own private chef and guide, now complemented by interiors that carry the same warmth and craftsmanship through to every detail.
The refresh comes at an exciting time for Wolwedans, following the recent appointment of Selma Simaneka Benyameni as Executive Hospitality Manager, who now leads the hospitality vision and guest experience across the collection.
“Of the Earth is more than a design language; it is a way of making sure our guests feel the desert the moment they arrive. Every texture, every tone, every handcrafted detail is there to deepen that sense of place. As we settle into this new chapter, I am excited to see how these spaces shape the way our guests connect, not just with the landscape, but with each other and with themselves.” – Selma Simaneka Benyameni, Executive Hospitality Manager
This refresh reflects Wolwedans' ongoing commitment to its guests and this spectacular desert location, evolving the experience at Desert Lodge, Dune Camp and Mountain View Suite while remaining true to its founding philosophy of conservation, sustainability and authentic human connection.
