Virgin Atlantic Boosts Cape Town-London Route with Extended Season and US Links
Virgin Atlantic is set to expand its seasonal Cape Town–London Heathrow service for the 2025/2026 travel period, adding over 17,000 extra seats and extending operations until 19 April 2026, including a peak Easter schedule. The airline will run daily flights during the holiday period, with enhanced overnight timings from 26 October 2025 to 28 March 2026 designed to improve passenger rest and facilitate smoother onward connections.
The expanded schedule will provide same-day links from Cape Town via Heathrow to all of Virgin Atlantic’s US destinations, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Orlando. Operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, the service offers Upper Class, Premium, and Economy cabins. This development strengthens air connectivity between South Africa, the UK, and the US, supporting both tourism and business travel.
