Virgin Atlantic Adjusts Johannesburg–London Flights for Improved Connectivity
Virgin Atlantic will revise its Johannesburg–London Heathrow flight schedule from 26 October 2025, aiming to enhance customer experience and streamline onward connections. The London-to-Johannesburg service will now depart earlier at 18:50, arriving in Johannesburg at 07:50 the following morning. The return leg from Johannesburg will shift to a later 21:45 departure, landing at Heathrow at 06:50, allowing for a smoother overnight journey.
The updated timing aligns with Virgin Atlantic’s broader strategy to optimise network connectivity, particularly for travellers linking via London to North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. The airline continues to operate daily flights on the route, backed by nearly 30 years of service to South Africa. Eligible passengers travelling from Johannesburg can also access the Clubhouse lounge at OR Tambo International Airport, part of the broader SkyTeam alliance benefits.
