Uganda Removes Yellow Fever Certificate Requirement for Entry
Uganda has confirmed that travellers entering the country are no longer required to present a yellow fever vaccination certificate, following a clarification issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs through the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control. The ministry was responding to a request from the Uganda Tourism Board and stated unequivocally that a yellow fever vaccination certificate is not a condition of entry, noting that the requirement does not appear on Uganda's e-visa application portal or the website of the National Citizenship and Immigration Control.
The clarification simplifies entry requirements for travellers from across the region and beyond, removing a document that had previously been a standard expectation at the border. Travellers seeking further information on current entry requirements have been directed to the ministry's Public Relations office.
