Uganda Airlines and Air India Ink Interline Deal to Strengthen Africa-Asia Connectivity
Uganda Airlines has signed an interline partnership with Air India, enabling travellers from Entebbe International Airport to connect seamlessly to over 25 destinations across India and beyond. Effective from 25 August 2025, the agreement allows single-ticket bookings through Air India’s hub in Mumbai, giving passengers access to key Indian cities such as Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, and Kolkata, as well as international hubs like London, Singapore, Dhaka, Colombo, and Bangkok.
The deal, formally announced on 17 September in Entebbe, also grants Air India customers easier access to Uganda and onward connections across the continent, including South Africa, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Uganda Airlines views the partnership as a strategic step in expanding its international reach while fostering tourism, trade, and cultural links between Africa and India.
