Turkish Airlines and SAA sign codeshare
Turkish Airlines and South African Airways have signed a codeshare agreement, effective 1 March 2026. Under the deal, Turkish Airlines will place its TK code on SAA services to Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Windhoek, Harare, Victoria Falls and Mauritius, while SAA will place its SA code on selected Turkish Airlines flights between Istanbul and Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Frankfurt, Paris and London.
The partnership is intended to strengthen connectivity between Africa and Türkiye, supporting tourism and trade by expanding customer choice and reach. It builds on Turkish Airlines’ African footprint – 65 destinations in 41 countries – and its global network of 355 destinations in 131 countries, with both airlines signalling more seamless and competitive travel options across South Africa and beyond.
