Travellers to-and-from Africa to benefit from Lufthansa’s enhanced connectivity on long-haul flights
Lufthansa has announced unlimited free messaging for passengers across all travel classes on its long-haul flights, starting this summer. This service will allow travellers to use personal smartphones or tablets to send texts, photos, and other communications mid-flight, catering to both leisure and business travellers. The initiative aligns with the airline’s strategy to enhance passenger experience and connectivity during intercontinental journeys.
The free messaging feature will also be extended to long-haul routes operated by SWISS and Austrian Airlines, expanding its reach across Lufthansa’s network. Having proven successful on short- and medium-haul routes, the service is expected to boost customer satisfaction further. For African travellers and agents, this offering presents added value, enabling seamless communication for everything from holiday coordination to business updates at no extra cost, underscoring the growing importance of digital engagement in the travel sector.
