In celebration of its 35th year of travelling with Purpose, Wilderness Safaris is thrilled to offer six guests the opportunity to be part of a life-changing Children in the Wilderness (CITW) Eco-Club camp – specifically, this year’s Zimbabwe programme from 15 to 18 December 2018.

“This journey will offer guests the privilege of encountering the very heart of the Children in the Wilderness programme: its children. They will be able to observe how CITW uses education and fun to teach and inspire positive change in the lives of these children so they too can conserve Africa’s wilderness and wildlife”, says Ron Goatley, Wilderness Safaris Zambezi MD.

The four-day journey will be hosted by Ron and Zambezi Region CITW Programme Coordinator, Sue Goatley, with the programme directed by CITW’s James Mwanza, Mxolisi Sibanda, Shuvanayi Taruvinga and Cynthia Ndiweni. The guests will not only observe but also be part of the programme from start to finish, participating fully in activities such as teambuilding, storytelling around the campfire, teaching life skills, environmental education, art sessions and games.

In addition to the full-day programme, the guests will visit Ngamo village where the campers will showcase their school, Ngamo Primary School, and their homes. The group will also be hosted by the Headman of the school, Mr Johnson Ncube and his wife, Dorothy, at their homestead, where they will learn more about Ndebele culture and traditions.

All proceeds generated from this journey will be channelled directly to CITW with no payment or profit accruing to Wilderness Safaris.
