Tourism Seychelles hosts GCC mega fam to drive Middle East sales
Tourism Seychelles has concluded a four‑day Middle East Mega Familiarisation Trip from 25–28 October 2025, welcoming 30 travel professionals from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Led by GCC representative Ahmed Fathallah, the initiative is aimed at strengthening trade ties and boosting destination promotion in one of Seychelles’ fastest‑growing source markets.
The programme paired networking with product training, including a Creole Festival‑themed welcome at Avani+ and site inspections at Avani+, Savoy Seychelles Resort & Spa, Canopy by Hilton, Kempinski Seychelles Resort, Constance Ephelia, STORY Seychelles, L’Escale Resort Marina & Spa and the new Garden Hills Hotel, alongside excursions on Mahé such as a reef safari and visits to Victoria’s markets and cultural sites. Principal Secretary for Tourism Sherin Francis noted the influence of GCC trade partners in traveller decision‑making, with the fam expected to support sales and stimulate demand from the region.
