Tour Operators Union of Ghana unveils five-year strategic plan
The Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) has launched its ambitious Five-Year Strategic Development Plan, setting a transformative vision for the organisation to become a dynamic force in Ghana's tourism industry by 2029. The plan was unveiled on 14 November at the Accra Tourist Information Centre.
TOUGHA President, Mrs Alisa Osei-Asamoah, described the plan as a guiding framework to realign the Union’s goals, energise its members, and foster collaboration. She emphasised its strategic focus on actionable outcomes to achieve TOUGHA’s vision.
The launch event featured notable attendees, including the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Andrew Egyapa Mercer, who commended TOUGHA for its contributions to sustainable tourism and community engagement.
Ahead of the launch, TOUGHA held a training session led by marketing expert Prof. Kobby Mensah. The session provided members with practical insights into crafting impactful tour itineraries, highlighting TOUGHA’s commitment to equipping its members with essential skills.
This strategic initiative is set to shape the future of Ghana’s tourism sector, creating opportunities for industry players and contributing to national development.
