Okapuka Safari Lodge, an iconic Namibian destination on the outskirts of Windhoek, has re-opened to guests on 2nd April. The newly renovated lodge has entered into a management agreement with the Gondwana Collection Namibia.

After the agreement was signed in 2022, the Gondwana team had their hands full. The Namibian interior-design company, Women Unleashed, was engaged to give Okapuka a refreshing revamp for that extra shine, making the Okapuka experience even more special.

A collaboration between Gondwana and Okapuka will mean the beginning of a new chapter for both companies, merging the well-established bushveld lodge on Windhoek's doorstep with Gondwana's long-standing customer base and sound reputation in the tourism sector.

Originally established in 1998 and known for its superlative game drives into the African bushveld – despite being only 30 minutes from the capital – Okapuka already has a reputation as a renowned mainstay in the Namibian tourism industry.

Modern finishes have brought a fresh new feeling to this lodge that holds nostalgic sentiment for many Namibians. As of the 2nd of April, the much-loved Okapuka Safari Lodge has once again been opened and welcome guests to its gates to experience Africa’s wild side.

Okapuka offers morning, noon and evening nature and game drives that are not only open to guests of the lodge but can be booked by anyone. This also applies to all meals. A rich Sunday Lunch Buffet is offered on Sunday at noon.

Bookings in advance are essential for all activities and meals. Admission to Okapuka Safari Lodge is only granted if visitors provide a booking confirmation at the gate. Bookings are accepted at [email protected]
