The Grand Hotel Djibloho hosts a new ANIF training session for the APNFD sector.

From August 18th to 22th, the Grand Hotel Djibloho hosted a series of workshops organized by ANIF, aimed at the APNFD sectors in the continental region, including Wele-Nzas, Kie-Ntem, Centro Sur, Litoral, and Djibloho.
This training was conducted in the context of the implementation of Article 13 of the CEMAC Regulation and the roadmap adopted by the Government to implement the priority actions of the GABAC mutual evaluation.
The inauguration was presided over by the Director General of ANIF and representative of the Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, Mr. Zenón Obiang Obiang Avomo, who highlighted the government's commitment to the development of the DNFBP sector, with the aim of strengthening the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.
The event was aligned with the implementation of priority measures 11 and 18 of the assessment report. Measure 11 focused on training DNFBPs to conduct periodic assessments of the money laundering and terrorist financing (ML/TF) risks associated with their activities, as well as on the adoption of appropriate mitigating measures. Measure 18 established the creation of a dedicated supervisory authority to regulate and supervise DNFBPs in matters of AML/TF prevention.
During five intensive days of training, participants received instruction and training to enhance their knowledge and skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing.
The seminar concluded with a group photo bringing together participants and organizers, symbolizing the shared commitment to strengthening the DNFBP sector in Equatorial Guinea. A cake-cutting ceremony also marked the symbolic conclusion of the training.
