Tanzania to Host Top 100 Global Travel Agents
Arusha, Tanzania's renowned safari capital, is gearing up to host the inaugural International Tourism Summit Africa 2024 from May 20-23. This groundbreaking event will bring together 100 of the world's top global travel agents and local Tanzanian tour operators, fostering synergy and collaboration in the post-COVID-19 tourism landscape.
The summit, co-hosted by African Queen Adventures CEO Alice Manupa and TravelShop Turkey's Murtaza Kalender, aims to showcase Tanzania's unparalleled natural beauty, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural heritage to an international audience of travel professionals. Attendees will embark on familiarisation trips to Tanzania's world-famous national parks.
Tanzania Association of Tour Operators (TATO) CEO Sirili Akko hailed the summit as an important occasion, demonstrating the growing global interest and confidence in Tanzania's tourism industry. He emphasised the immense benefits for local tour companies through business-to-business interactions, opening doors to new international partnerships and sustainable industry growth.
