Tanzania and UK Strengthen Tourism and Investment Cooperation
Tanzania and the United Kingdom have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations, with tourism emerging as a key focus area for future collaboration. During a recent meeting in Dar es Salaam, Ambassador Said Shaib Mussa of Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs held talks with Lisa Mackie, Head of the East Africa Department at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Discussions centred on strengthening partnerships across tourism, investment, health, and clean energy.
Ambassador Mussa invited UK businesses to explore Tanzania’s growing tourism potential and reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the investment climate. Both parties acknowledged the importance of tourism in driving economic development and fostering cultural exchange. The talks highlight a continued push to attract UK visitors and investors to Tanzania’s diverse natural and cultural attractions, further positioning the country as a prime destination for sustainable tourism in East Africa.
