Table Mountain NP update regarding indemnity forms
SANParks has confirmed that indemnity forms are no longer required for general day visitors at the Cape of Good Hope section or Boulders Penguin Colony. Forms remain in place only at designated picnic and braai facilities – Newlands Forest, Oudekraal, Silvermine and Tokai – and do not apply to open‑access areas, Wild Card holders or Activity Permit holders. SANParks said all personal information is managed in accordance with POPIA and thanked visitors and stakeholders for their cooperation.
SANParks has implemented new visitor verification at selected high‑volume access points in Table Mountain National Park from 10 February 2026. Digital ID scanning is now in place at the Cape Point (Cape of Good Hope) and Boulders Penguin Colony entrances to ensure accurate tariff application where locally discounted rates apply.
