TAAG, Angolan Airlines, has announced the phased transfer of its commercial operations from 4 de Fevereiro International Airport to the newly inaugurated Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport (AIAAN) in Luanda. Starting on 10 November, the airline will launch its first route from AIAAN with the Luanda-Cabinda-Luanda service, the busiest domestic route for both passenger and cargo traffic. TAAG aims to ensure a smooth, efficient transition with four daily flights to Cabinda, operated by Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.

Following the Cabinda transfer, routes to Dundo, Saurimo, Luena, and Soyo will shift to AIAAN in December, with full domestic and international transfer completion expected by early 2025. TAAG’s phased approach aligns with global aviation best practices, prioritising operational safety, service continuity, and an improved customer experience.

Enhanced access to AIAAN will be supported by the Luanda Railway, Transportes Colectivos Urbanos de Luanda, private shuttles, and cab services. Through a robust multi-channel communication strategy, TAAG is committed to keeping passengers informed and aims to leverage AIAAN’s infrastructure to solidify Luanda as a regional aviation hub.
