TAAG Angola Airlines Launches Direct Luanda–Nairobi Route
TAAG Angola Airlines has inaugurated a new direct air service between Luanda and Nairobi, marking its official entry into the Kenyan market. The first flight landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Monday, 1 September 2025, carrying commercial passengers and a delegation of Angolan and Kenyan dignitaries. The new route strengthens air connectivity between Southern and Eastern Africa, offering three weekly flights operated by an Airbus A220-300.
The Luanda–Nairobi connection, with a flight time of approximately four hours, is expected to enhance intra-Africa mobility, support bilateral trade, and boost tourism between the two nations. TAAG’s service will offer 137 seats per flight across business, premium economy, and economy classes. This strategic route is also set to improve links between Africa and international markets via both cities’ growing hub networks.
