TAAG and SAA launch codeshare
TAAG Angola Airlines and South African Airways (SAA) have activated a strategic codeshare, with ticket sales open and travel commencing on 1 December 2025. The partnership leverages Luanda, Johannesburg and Cape Town as hubs, with SAA placing its code on TAAG services from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Luanda and onward connections to Lisbon and São Paulo. In return, TAAG gains access to SAA network points including Durban, Gqeberha, Cape Town, Harare and Lusaka.
Travellers benefit from a single ticket in local currency, integrated check‑in and through‑baggage, and smoother connections across both networks. The agreement aims to strengthen intra‑African connectivity while supporting trade and tourism, with both airlines highlighting Angola’s hub potential and SAA’s network growth as key drivers for improved regional and long‑haul access.
