SUJÁN Acquires Zambia's Chiawa Camp and Old Mondoro in African Debut
Indian luxury hospitality group SUJÁN has entered the African market with the acquisition of Chiawa Camp and Old Mondoro from Chiawa Safaris in Zambia's Lower Zambezi National Park, for an undisclosed sum. The move marks the company's first international expansion beyond India and forms part of a broader growth strategy to more than double its portfolio over the next four years through expansion aligned with its conservation and hospitality values.
Both camps, set along the banks of the Zambezi River, have established reputations as pioneers of conservation-led tourism in the region. SUJÁN founder and chairman Jaisal Singh cited Africa's role in demonstrating how responsible tourism can actively support conservation as a key driver of the acquisition. Co-founder Anjali Singh added that the group's expansion would remain anchored in the principles of authenticity, stewardship and community empowerment that have defined the brand since its inception.
