South African Airways To Resume Flights To São Paulo After Three Years
South African Airways has announced it will launch two new transoceanic routes from Cape Town and Johannesburg to Brazil’s São Paulo Guarulhos International (GRU). This will be the return of South African Airways to South America since 2020 and will be a direct competition to LATAM Airlines.
One new route, one resumed route
On Thursday, South African Airways announced on Instagram the launch of two new routes to Brazil. The airline said,
“Exciting news from South African Airways! We’re thrilled to announce our first intercontinental route to colorful Sao Paulo, Brazil. This will be SAA’s first long-haul route since we took to the skies in 2021.”
