Solenta Aviation Mozambique Launches Maputo – Vilankulo Scheduled Service from 5 November

Solenta Aviation Mozambique is launching a new scheduled service between Maputo and Vilankulo from tomorrow, 5 November 2026, operating three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays using an Embraer ERJ135LR with a 37-seat pressurised cabin. The route addresses demand for reliable air access to Vilankulo, one of Mozambique's key coastal tourism destinations, and has been timed to coincide with the Mozambique Tourism Summit 2026 taking place in the town. Tickets are available through authorised ticket counters, travel agencies and online via distribution partner COTUR at cotur.co.mz.

The new connection strengthens air access to the Bazaruto Archipelago region, which anchors much of Mozambique's high-end beach and marine tourism offering. For the broader industry, the route adds a meaningful domestic link between the capital and one of the country's most visited tourism nodes, supporting both leisure travel and the movement of investors and trade visitors attending events in the region. The service follows recent aviation developments in Mozambique, including Ethiopian Airlines' maiden flight to Nacala and new bilateral air route agreements with São Tomé and Guinea-Bissau, signalling growing momentum in the country's aviation sector.
