Singita Revamps Interiors of Original Ebony Lodge

Luxury ecotourism pioneer Singita has unveiled a complete redesign of its original Singita Ebony lodge in South Africa's Sabi Sand Nature Reserve. The reimagined space honours Singita's 30th anniversary by breathing new life into the traditional safari setting.

The redesign by interior designers Cécile & Boyd blends past and present through a rich aesthetic. Contemporary African art is contrasted with vintage trunks and chandeliers to create a timeless, fluid feel. Natural colours, fabrics and timber pay homage to the surrounding Sand River landscape.

"This classic safari lodge takes it to the next level by successfully contrasting bold and lightweight, dense and open," said Cécile & Boyd's Geordi De Sousa Costa.

The new layout adds spacious lounge areas and a conservation room educating guests on Singita's history, the region's biodiversity, and the work of conservation partner Singita Lowveld Trust. Antiques, heirlooms and locally crafted artwork celebrate Ebony's roots while elevating the culturally immersive experience.
