Seychelles Tourism Surges on European and Asian Demand

With visitor numbers up 7% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the previous year, Seychelles is enjoying a tourism boom. Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows 105,457 arrivals so far in 2024, buoyed by steady European markets and growing interest from Asia.

Germany remains the top source with over 21,900 visitors, followed by Russia and France. Over 90,000 tourists visited for holidays, with 3,688 honeymooners taking advantage of the islands' natural beauty. Cruise tourism also made a notable impact, with nearly 7,000 cruise passengers.

While Europe dominates, tourism from South Africa and North America is also rising significantly.
